Philadelphia is a Great City
Philadelphia is a great place to live and visit. It has a vibrant night life and is the cultural epicenter of Pennsylvania. Since 1971, WOAR has provided essential treatment to survivors of sexual violence. As one of the nation’s first rape crisis centers, WOAR has been successful working both collaboratively and independently of the medical, legal and criminal justice system.
WOAR acknowledges that working collaboratively with the City and its industries can result in Philadelphia being a safer place to live, work and visit.
We have no time to lose because Philadelphia ranks considerably lower than other American “safest cities.”. Niche.com ranked Philadelphia as the 168th safest city. According to Safewise, there are nine Pennsylvania cities that are listed among the 100 safest cities in the country. Philadelphia was missing from the Pennsylvania and national top 100 list.
